Welcome to Crasterway, the home from home holiday house in the beautiful village of Craster, Northumberland.

We're busy taking enquiries and bookings for 2024 and into 2025, so if you're after a particular date, just get in touch to reserve your stay with just a 10% deposit.

​

We're already taking school summer holiday 2024 bookings and those dates are always very popular. 

​

You can book a full week, or two weeks, or maybe you fancy a getaway for three or four nights. We're flexible on changeover days too and will always try to find you dates which work for you!

​

Sleeping up to eight guests, we're dog friendly too.

THE HOUSE

 

A contemporary four bedroomed holiday home in the beautiful working harbour of Craster on the Northumberland Coast.

 

  • Sleeps up to eight guests in four bedrooms, 1 kingsize with ensuite, 2 double bedrooms and the 4th bedroom has two large singles

  • One en-suite, a family bathroom and downstairs cloakroom

  • Open plan fully equipped kitchen/dining and sitting area, large bifold doors open straight onto the garden

  • Large lounge for unwinding and evening time

THE VILLAGE
 

A historical harbour, still landing catches every day, supplying the local pubs and cafes and beyond.

​

Craster is on the Coastal Path and it is a 2 mile walk across the flat cliffs to Dunstanbrough Castle and Embleton Bay beyond.

​

Just a minute's walk takes you to the Jolly Fisherman, renowned for its seafood and fish and chips, sit inside or out, with magnificent sea views. Cosy in the winter with its log fires, and beautiful summer outside terrace

​

Craster also has a lovely cafe, small shop and art gallery. You'll also find Robsons Smokery, where the famous Craster kippers are smoked! They also have a nice deli.

UNWIND, RELAX, HAVE FUN

Visit nearby Alnwick Castle and famous gardens and water display. See where Harry Potter was filmed, play Quiddich, eat in the Treehouse and play crazy golf.

​

Walk on the Coastal Path to the ruins of Dunstanbrough Castle and down to beautiful sweeping Embleton Bay sands and dunes. Carry on further to Newton to eat at the Joiners Arms, there's even a bus back.

​

Enjoy the south facing garden for a BBQ, or try body surfing or maybe a boat trip to the Farne Islands and puffins.

Geting married in one of our local beautiful wedding venues? Crasterway is the perfect spot for Doxford Hall, Ellingham, Bamburgh Castle and Alnwick Gardens weddings! Book the week before and treat yourself to the ultimate Secret Spa just ten minutes away for all your wedding prep and the Big Day too! Relax with your wedding party around you with long walks on the beach and fun nights with fantastic food at the local Jolly Fisherman pub!

Or fancy a golf tour? With four fantastic courses nearby, it's a golfers' paradise. Plenty of storage space for clubs and trolleys, don't miss Dunstanbrough, Bamburgh, Foxton, Burgham and Alnwick courses.
